Wild Assets x Deep Sky

Wild Assets announces today (June 26, 2025) the initiation of an innovative offtake agreement with Deep Sky, a carbon removal project developer that integrates multiple direct air capture (DAC) technologies across Canada. This agreement will deliver 10,000 carbon credits over 7 years and marks Wild Assets' first DAC venture. It is also the first offtake deal ever to treat DAC credits as assets rather than immediate offsets for corporate emissions.

DAC represents the cutting edge of carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies. It removes CO2 directly from the atmosphere, meters and monitors it precisely, and stores it permanently through mineralization or sequestration in geological formations. Since CDR research and development began, DAC has attracted three times more investment than all other methods combined—estimated at over $1.5 billion. This substantial investment has led to the maturation of various DAC solutions and supporting technologies, as well as increased readiness among regulators and corporate customers to trust this approach.

The sophistication and precision of DAC technology are reflected in the carbon credit pricing, which also factors in the amortization of R&D investments and capital expenditures. This has resulted in carbon credits that are prohibitively expensive for most market participants, limiting growth potential. Deep Sky, however, has overcome these challenges by integrating various DAC solutions and strategically selecting project sites based on clean energy costs, availability, and supply chain efficiencies.

A similar analysis supported Bill Gates' Breakthrough Energy Fund's decision to grant $40 million to Deep Sky in 2024. By eliminating R&D uncertainties, reducing both financial and operational risks, and directing investment proceeds toward deployment and scaling, Deep Sky has positioned itself as a standout in the market.

We view this as the first project in DAC's post-experimental era—one that offers exceptionally high-quality carbon dioxide removal at competitive prices both within and beyond its category.

As we structure this offtake, we invite new investors and deal participants to join the movement and participate in the opportunity. Please reach out to ir@wild-assets.com for more information.

Wild Assets x Frontier Carbon Solutions

Today (Tuesday, 6/24/2025) we’re announcing an offtake agreement with Frontier Carbon Solutions, to purchase up to 120,000 carbon credits generated through a bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) project in Wyoming. By that, Wild Assets and its investors tap into a unique CDR asset at a strategic timing, built for longevity and recurring revenues over the upcoming years.

BECCS is an anchor for every CDR portfolio, and Frontier’s project complements ours with additional strategic benefits:

  • It is built to scale massively, to hundreds of thousands of tCO2e per year;

  • By its synergy with ethanol refineries, it improves carbon management in a wider circle - of energy and biogenic feedstocks;

  • By its location in the American West, it brings the CDR economy to places it hasn’t been before, while guaranteeing a responsible use of land resources for generations;

  • Through the investment in building new infrastructure, it mobilizes tax credits in the right direction, and creates economic and geopolitical resilience;

  • Integrated into industrial processes and robust infrastructure, it reaches an economic viability that is hard to find in other projects;

  • and, in issuing carbon credits with Puro.Earth, it guarantees high quality and 1000+ years of durable storage;

We’re excited to partner with Steve, Pawan, Preston, Sam and Erik - one of the most professional and ambitious CDR development teams around - to provide our deal participants and investors preferential and seamless access to this outstanding carbon asset.

As we announce this offtake, we also invite new investors and deal participants to apply to join this opportunity. Please reach out to ir@wild-assets.com for more information.
